I have over fifteen years of experience in the glazing industry. Most recently, for 7 years, I was employed as a Senior Project Manager for a commercial glazing company serving the greater DMV area. I managed projects ranging in value from $50K-$1million+. I possess broad knowledge of the glazing industry and detailed knowledge of various glazing systems associated with complex projects. My projects are consistently completed with attention to detail and quality in a timely, organized, and professional manner. I have experience coordinating and working closely with various general contractors and sub-contractors to ensure owner/architect requirements and needs are met or exceeded. Project Management
- Manage and coordinate commercial projects ranging in value from $50K – $1million.
- Prepare submittals for various project specifications and scopes of work.
- Review contract documents and associated proposals, confirm initial takeoffs and material reviews, coordinate buyout of specified materials with estimators and vendors.
- Proficient in CAD, able to prepare submittal CAD shop drawings as well as fabrication
drawings. - Coordinate schedules to meet deadlines and budget parameters.
- Manage site staff and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain site records and reports related to work performed.
- Maintain detailed records of invoices associated with projects.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations (including OSHA and state regulations). Successfully completed OSHA 30 Hour Course (05/2012).
Site Planning and Preparation
- Coordinate with general contractors on timelines concerning fabrication, delivery, and installation. Attend weekly progress/coordination meetings with general contractor and other trades.
- Read, understand, and communicate complex architectural and shop drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates.
- Create accurate material counts and sizes for various materials for release.
- Create fabrication inputs through PartnerPak and Glazier Studio and applied to RHINO
automated fabrication machine. - Produce accurate and thorough field measurements.
Installation
- Possess extensive knowledge of glazing systems including curtain wall, architectural glass walls, and storefront.
- Possess broad knowledge of various architectural panel systems.
- Perform skilled glazing work required for glass installations and repairs including related
window and door hardware. - Able to operate various man-lifts and fork-lifts.
- Competent in the use of glazing tools and equipment.
